I don't consider myself a sushi snob, but it was immediately obvious when we ate here that all the other sushi I've had in my life wasn't as good. And this was affordable - rolls were cheaper than other places I've had in the area. The miso soup was also exceptionally tasty. Would give 6/5 stars if I could.
What started out as a trip to Benihana for a fun dinner with my Fiance, ended with us discovering this jewel of a place in Novi.
Our wait was about 30 minutes, but the food.. Oh my the food was amazing. I really wasn't in the mood for sushi, so I got the currie rice w/ chicken. Unreal how good this was. My fiance got their signature dish and was more impressed then I was.
We'll be back, often I presume. :)
My only suggestion - buy out the place next door and expand.
Easily the most authentic Asian restaurant around metro Detroit. It's small and gets crowded quickly, but the wait is worth it. I personally love getting meiko noodles. (I probably spelt that wrong) along with the Cali roll. Simple I know, but soooo good.
My absolute favorite sushi and udon in the area! The sushi chef is very friendly, we had a good chat with him when we were at the bar and the place wasn't too busy that afternoon. It is a small restaurant and it fills up quickly! I usually get the Ajishin udon and a salmon advocating cucumber roll. They have a chirashi that comes in a tower of stackable bowls. Pretty fancy!
